Congressman Max Miller’s Statement on the Government Reopening

WASHINGTON, D.C. U.S. Congressman Max Miller (OH-07) released the following statement after the passage of the Senate Amendment 3937 to H.R.5371, the Continuing Appropriations, Agriculture, Legislative Branch, Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and Extensions Act, 2026, to reopen the federal government.

“I gladly voted to keep the government open back in September, and I gladly voted to reopen the government today,” said Congressman Miller. “I am disappointed that Democrats in both chambers inflicted so much unnecessary pain on the American people to appease their radical left-wing base. I hope that Democrats will now come to the table in good faith to compromise on future appropriations bills instead of harming our nation’s citizens in an attempt to gain political leverage.”
