MEDINA, OHIO – U.S. Congressman Max Miller (OH-07) today visited Stella Maris in Cleveland, one of only two stand-alone withdrawal management (detox) providers in the Greater Cleveland area.

He had the opportunity to see first-hand the incredible services Stella Maris provides for its patients that are going through the recovery process. Stella Maris CEO Daniel Lettenberger-Klein, Director of Development and Advancement Kelli Wall, and President of the Board of Directors Aaron Marks gave the Congressman a tour.

Stella Maris, which was founded in 1948, offers detox, inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, recovery management, and supportive housing services for those on their recovery journey. They also provide wrap-around services such as workforce development programs, therapy, 12-step groups, and legal and housing support.

“Facilities like Stella Maris offer a crucial bridge from addiction to recovery,” said Congressman Miller. “I am grateful for the work that is done here every day for those seeking help with addiction here in Northeast Ohio.”

In 2023 alone, Stella Maris treated nearly 5,000 people, primarily from Cuyahoga County. According to Stella Maris, their patients have a 71% detox success rate compared to the 32% national average.
