WASHINGTON, D.C.– Below are the highlights of U.S. Congressman Max Miller’s (OH-07) schedule from the week of July 15. 

MONDAY, July 15 

• Congressman Miller had lunch with former Ohio Congressman Bob Gibbs in Wooster.  Congressman Gibbs is a member of Congressman Miller’s Agriculture Advisory Council. 

WEDNESDAY, July 17 

• Congressman Miller met with Derek Weaver, Vice President of WEST Forwarding Services, in his Parma office. Mr. Weaver talked with Congressman Miller about his business and legislation affecting small customs brokers, such as the Customs Business Fairness Act and the Ocean Container Rail Storage Charges Fairness Act. 

THURDSAY, July 18 

• Congressman Miller attended the annual Captive Nations dinner hosted by the American Nationalities Movement in Brooklyn, Ohio. The event honored Seven Hills Mayor Anthony Biasiotta, Italian American Museum of Cleveland Curator Pamela Ann Dorado Dean, and American Nationalities Movement former President Irene Morrow for their impactful work in their communities and contributions to the cause of individual freedom. FRIDAY, July 19 

• Congressman Miller stopped by the Grande Cafe and Roastery in Medina to meet with Medina County Commissioner Aaron Harrison, who assumed office in January of 2023. The two discussed ways they can partner to make Medina County an even better place to live for their shared constituents. The Grande Cafe in Medina is a unique cafe that provides individuals with disabilities opportunities for vocational training.  

• Congressman Miller met with Keith Simmons, a volunteer with the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), to discuss the organization’s mission and impact in advocating for our First and Second Amendment rights, law enforcement support, addressing the national debt, and immigration reform. Simmons provided an overview of AMAC’s initiatives, highlighting their commitment to defending Americans’ freedoms. Pictures from the meeting can be found here.  

Congressman Miller’s Team represented him at the following meetings and events: 

• tour of USDA Forest Services Delaware Ohio Lab,  
• meeting with representatives from the Akron Children’s Hospital,  
• meeting with Medina County Sheriff Terry Grice,  
• meeting with Medina Police Department Police Chief Edward Kinney, and 
• meeting with representatives of Ohio Corn & Wheat.

Congressman Max Miller represents Ohio’s Seventh District which includes Medina and Wayne counties as well as parts of Cuyahoga and Holmes counties. Miller serves on the House Agriculture Committee and the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, for which he is also Chairman of the Environment Subcommittee. The Republican freshman members selected Miller as their representative to the Republican Steering Committee.  He is a member of the Republican Study Committee, Main Street Caucus, and the Congressional Jewish Caucus.
