Congressman Max Miller Introduces Legislation to Expand Veteran Homeownership Benefit
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Max Miller (OH-07) introduced legislation that would expand access to homeownership for veterans by increasing the VA’s conforming loan limit for second homes.
“This bill honors the service and sacrifice of our veterans by ensuring they aren’t penalized for moving—especially when that move is connected to continuing their service or beginning a new chapter in their lives,” said Congressman Miller. “Homeownership is one of the most powerful tools for building financial security, and this legislation helps ensure veterans don’t have to choose between keeping their first home and securing a stable future somewhere new.”
Congressman Miller’s legislation would amend current law to allow eligible veterans with unrestored VA home loan entitlements to purchase a second home using a VA-backed loan up to 1.5 times the conforming loan limit.
