Congressman Max Miller Thanks Committee on Veterans’ Affairs for Advancing Legislation
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity considered H.R. 2791, introduced by U.S. Congressman Max Miller (OH-07) in April. This legislation would expand access to homeownership for veterans by increasing the VA’s conforming loan limit for second homes.
“Many veterans face difficult choices when relocating due to increased housing costs,” said Congressman Miller. “This legislation ensures they don’t have to choose between financial stability and moving forward, no matter where duty or opportunity takes them. I’m grateful to the Veterans’ Affairs Committee for advancing this important measure and standing with those who have served our country. I look forward to seeing this bill on the Floor.”
Congressman Miller’s legislation would amend current law to allow eligible veterans with unrestored VA home loan entitlements to purchase a second home using a VA-backed loan up to 1.5 times the conforming loan limit.
