Congressman Max Miller to Host Service Academy Day
PARMA, Ohio – Congressman Max Miller, R-Rocky River, will host Service Academy Day at his district office in Parma on Saturday. The event is for high school students and their families to learn more about the process of applying for a nomination to a service academy.
“Service Academy Day provides information that prospective cadets will need as they seek an appointment. Military service is one of the greatest things a citizen can do for our country, and I appreciate these young people and their families for their willingness to serve,” Miller said.
Service Academy Day runs from 10 – noon on Saturday, April 22. It will be held at 7335 Ridge Road in Parma. Miller, members of his staff, and staff from US Senator J.D. Vance will be available to assist students. Service academy representatives and recent academy graduates will be in attendance to speak about life at the academy.
Information will be provided on the US Military Academy at West Point (Army); the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD; the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, CO; the Coast Guard Academy in New London, CT; and the Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY.
Students in Ohio’s Seventh Congressional District who are interested in seeking an appointment to a service academy should contact Bryan.Bowman@mail.house.gov for more information.
