U.S. Congressman Max Miller Highlights NASA Glenn’s Positive Impact on Ohio
MEDINA, OHIO – U.S. Congressman Max Miller (OH-07) made the following statement highlighting NASA’s bi-annual Economic Impact Study for Fiscal Year 2023 (FY23).
“The NASA Glenn Research Center is an engine for innovation and job creation in Ohio,” said Congressman Miller. “NASA’s most recent report shows that the Glenn Research Center supports more than 9,000 jobs throughout the state and generates an economic output of $2 billion. I’m excited to see NASA’s impact on Ohio grow, and I look forward to continuing to advocate in Washington for Glenn and all of the great people who work there.”
NASA’s bi-annual Headquarters-led Economic Impact Study is an agency-wide study that highlights the economic impacts of NASA and its partners throughout the country and in each state.
Other highlights from the report include:
- Ohio was ranked 8 of all states in total economic output for the total number of jobs within the state
- NASA generated $84.4 million in Ohio state tax revenue
- $423.8 million in Ohio state procurement investments
- NASA generated more than $75 billion in total economic output
- NASA supported more than 305,000 jobs nationwide
