U.S. Congressman Max Miller Visits Sandridge Crafted Foods in Medina, Participates in Workforce Roundtable

MEDINA, OHIO – Today, U.S. Congressman Max Miller (OH-07) visited Sandridge Crafted Foods in Medina, Ohio and participated in a roundtable discussion with local industry and education leaders about manufacturing and workforce development.  

“Today’s discussion emphasized the critical role that a skilled workforce plays in growing our local economy,” said Congressman Miller. “It was great to hear from so many local leaders about the importance of workforce education, and I am committed to working with them and others to expand opportunities for Ohioans to pursue pathways for well-paying, stable jobs in the trades. It is critical for workers and businesses that we have a workforce that meets the demands of our rapidly changing economy and helps our local communities thrive.” 

The roundtable was attended by Sandridge Crafted Foods Chief Strategy Officer Rick Sisko, Co-President Dane Sandridge, VP of People Operations Dale Fortner, HR Manager Ashley Powell, City of Medina Mayor Dennis Hanwell, Medina County Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Bethany Dentler, Career Coach Mitchel Boehmke, Economic Development Manager Brandon Gibson, Greater Medina Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Jaclyn Ringstmeier, City of Medina Economic Development Director Kimberly Marshall, Discount Drug Mart Government and Public Affairs Director Steve Ferris, and Medina County Career Center Superintendent Steve Chrisman. 

Prior to the roundtable, the Congressman toured Sandridge Crafted Foods and learned more about its operations. Sandridge, founded in 1960, employs nearly 1,000 people and offers a variety of fresh food products, including coleslaw, salads, soups, and more under brands like 1st and Main Deli, Casa Cocina, and Grandma’s Kitchen.
