Issues

Defense & Foreign Relations

Our nation faces many challenges, none of them more pressing than providing for the national defense. American leadership on the world stage has dwindled, and we must return to the model of former President Ronald Reagan, who understood that peace through strength makes America safer. I will continue to advocate for strong policies that put America and our national security first. In addition, I have been appointed to serve on The Commission on Reform and Modernization of the Department of State, which will examine ways that the Department of State can modernize to advance the interests of the United States more effectively during this pivotal and challenging time in our nation’s history.

Education & Workforce

America faces an unprecedented labor shortage. I am working to improve access to workforce development programs, particularly those dedicated to enhancing career-oriented technical training. I am also committed to making sure that our schools are focused on educating our next generation of leaders and innovators and empowering parents and students with the ability to choose the education path and future that makes the most sense for them.
